Intro to Civil Society Training (1)

CARPO designed and completed the Intro to Civil Society Training first phase for a period of 8 weeks. The major purpose of this training was to enhance the knowledge of the participants in raising awareness on civil society values and activities and its role in development process and change in Afghanistan. The participants were the students from the public and private universities, where a total of 30 students participated in the training. Each successful individual was awarded certification of completion at the end of the course.

Introduction to Civil Society values and practices in a transitional society toward modernization is essential. Thus, CARPO is willing to provide opportunities at its venues for discussions, presentations and lectures on democratic values of the civil society. CARPO as a research and training organization understands that, there is a strong need among youths for familiarization to the civil society; its values and practices. Civil society has proven to be a very important pillar in a democratic government where these values were shared to the participants during the training sessions.

CARPO is pleased to host the most active participants in gatherings/Sessions in order to provide presentations, lectures and discussion opportunities with a goal to familiarize with the civil society as well as to put the gained knowledge into practices. We want our trainees become active citizens of Afghanistan and work for democracy institutionalization all over the country.

Our expert Trainers are supervised with the moral and proactivity of the trainees; their eager has proven to CARPO that, they really need opportunities and resources to develop active citizenship role and take proper participation in the development process and change in Afghanistan. Based on the importance of civil society values and activities, CARPO has plans to provide and deliver further training classes for the participants who are willing to take participation in the training approaches.
